NOTES:
In the Baptism Register entry for James Morton, his mother's maiden surname is entered incorrectly as Crook. Crook was the surname of his Godmother, who later became Mrs. Robert Morton.
The baptism for Sarah Morton records her name as Sara and her mother's maiden name as Lee, while the civil certificate seems to have recorded her mother's maiden name as Rowe.
The death of Elizabeth (1) is entered twice in the Burial Register at St. Joseph's. Both entries list her as being of Gregson Lane, age 1/3, but one lists the date of death as 15 November and burial as 18 November 1878. The other entry lists the date of death as 27 November and burial as 28 November 1878. The first entry would seem to be the correct record.
There may have been other children born to John and Margaret during the 7 years between the births of Sarah and John Jr.
