Dorothy Morton, widow, of Claughton, appointed Thomas Walmsley and John Wells as
Executors of her estate. She left £40.00 to John Morton (her father-in-law), "being money lent by him to my late husband." She also left £10.00 to Joseph Wells, son of John Wells. The rest and residue of her estate was to be divided between her brothers and sisters - or their children if they died before her, etc. The Will was signed by Dorothy Morton on 2 October 1902 and witnessed by Henry Holden, clerk, of Claughton; and Ellen Rogerson, spinster, of Claughton. Probate was granted on 21 April 1904. |
