The Family of Elizabeth Singleton

Elizabeth Singleton was a widow when she married John Morton in 1786. The couple were married by license and the Marriage Bond was posted by John Morton Sr. and George Crozier.

I have been unable to find any information regarding Elizabeth Singleton's previous marriage or what her maiden surname may have been but I suspect that it may have been Crozier. George Crozier may have been her father or brother.

A search of the IGI is hampered by the fact that I do not have a date or place of birth for Elizabeth but I did find both a George Crozier and an Elizabeth Crozier born to the same parents in Lancaster, Lancashire in the mid 1740s.

Perhaps a descendant of the Crozier family will discover this website and be able to provide additional information.
