Noverint Universi per Presentes, Nos Johannem Morton juniorem & Johannem Morton Seniorem ambos de Claughton in parochia de Garstang in Covn. Lanc. agricolas ~ ~ ~ teneri & firmiter Obligari Reverendo in Christo Patri & Domino Domino Samuæli ~ Permissione Divina Cestrien ~ Episcopo in District ~ libris bonæ & legalis moneta Magnæ Britanni æ, solvendis eidem Revendo Patri aut suo certo Atturnato, Executoribus Administratoribus vel assignatis suis; ad quam quidem solutionem bene & fideliter faciendam, Obli- gamus nos & (illegible) ~ nostrum per se pro toto et insoliddum, Heredes, Executores, & Administratores nostros firmi- ter per Presentes sigillis nostris sigillatas Datas Vicosimo ~ quarto ~ Die Mensis Februarii ~ ~ Anno Domini 1730. The condition of this Obligation is such, that if there be no im- pediment of Præcontract, Consanguinity, Affinity, or other lawful Cause to hinder the Marriage of the above mentioned John Morton junior & Alice Crichley of Garstang Spr ~ ~ ~ according to the Laws of the Church, and Ordinances of this Realm in that behalf provided, nor any Controversy or Suit depending in any Court touching and Contract or Marriage of either of them with any o- ther; and if the said Parties have the Consent of their Parents (if they be living) or of their Guardians or Governors to the Solemnization of the said Marriage; and do proceed therein in all Things according to the Ef- fect of the Letters of Dispensation to them in that behalf granted. And finally do at all times hereafter save and keep harmless, the abovenamed Lord Bishop, his Vicar-General his Surrogates, and all other his Officers and their Successors in Office, for and concerning the Granting the said Letters of Dispensation: Then this present Obligation to be void, or else to remain effectual in the Law. |
