THE FAMILY OF ALICE HAYDOCK

 

Alice was the daughter of Henry Haydock and Mary Ann Grime, who were married at St John the Evangelist Church in Over Darwen, Lancashire on 7 June 1879.

Henry and Mary Ann had eight children, with the first six born in Darwen and the youngest two born in Burnley. Their first child, William, was born in 1879 and died in the same year.

Alice, their 8th child, was born in Burnley in about 1895 and appears with her family in the 1901 Census:

Both of Alice's parents were deceased when she married Edward Roocroft. Henry Haydock died in 1903, aged just 44 years, and Mary Ann (Grime) Haydock died in 1916, aged 57.
