THE FAMILY OF FREDERICK WILLIAM WESTWORTH

 

Frederick's parents, William Westworth and Margaret Fletcher were married at St John's Parish Church in Preston on 14 May 1864, and proceeded to have at least 9 children, with Frederick William being their 6th child. He was baptized at St John's Church on 6 June 1875 by J. Young.

William Westworth was variously described as a Cabinet Maker, Upholsterer, and, on the night of the 1881 Census, a Tin Plate Worker:

The family lived their entire lives in Preston and jumping ahead 30 years we find them living in the Deepdale area of the town. By this time William had retired:

Margaret Westworth died in 1914, aged 70 years and William Westworth died in 1925, aged 83 years.
