Mary Chadwick died at the age of 60 but I can find no record of any Will or Administration of her estate.

Hugh William Chadwick wrote his Will on 29 January 1935 appointing his son Norman William Chadwick and Charles Eastwood, solicitor of Preston as his Executors and trustees.

He directed that his sister Sarah Ann Hughes was to be permitted the use and enjoyment of his household furniture and effects during her lifetime. After her death they were to be sold with the proceeds to form a part of his residuary estate. The trustees were to call in and convert to money any part of his estate that did not consist of money and pay his debts, funeral and testamentary expences - and the legacy duty on any bequests given free of legacy duty.

The residue of his estate was to be held in trust for his children Norman William Chadwick, Dorothy Jane McAllester and Marjorie Ellen Chadwick in equal shares - provided that Dorothy Jane repay the £100 advanced to her previously. If any of his children died before him their share was to be divided between their child or children.

Charles Eastwood and any other solicitor or professional person acting on behalf of the estate was to be paid their usual professional fees and charges.

Hugh William Chadwick signed his Will in the presence of Charles J. Eastwood, solicitor, Preston, and John W. Dickinson, clerk with Messrs. W. Banks & Co. of Preston, Solicitors.

On 28 May 1936 Probate of the Will was granted at Lancaster to Norman William Chadwick, Sanitary Inspector, and Charles Eastwood, Solicitor.
