MONUMENT INSCRIPTION:

"In loving memory of Hugh,
son of Thomas and Mary Norris,
who died February 19th 1883, aged 10 years.
Also Thomas, their son,
who died March 12th 1883, aged 12 years.
`When loved ones lie withered and fond ones are flown,
Oh who would inhabit this cold world alone.'
Also the above Thomas Norris,
who died October 12th 1920, aged 80 years.
Also the above Mary Norris,
who died July 9th 1924, aged 68 years.
Also Margaret, daughter of the above,
who died January 1st 1939, aged 64 years.
Also Kate, daughter of the above
and beloved wife of James Whittle,
who died April 22nd 1961, aged 78 years.
Also George Aspinall, grandson of the above,
who died December 4th 1904, aged 13 years.
Also Margaret (Madge) Aspinall, granddaughter of the above,
who died May 9th 1899, aged 3 years and 5 months."
