Henry Norris
Henry Norris wrote his Will on 19 September 1877 and appointed his four daughters; Ellen Edgerley, Ann Mayor, Margaret Smith, and Alice Miller Executrixes of his estate.

He directed that properties not belonging to him beneficially, such as property left to him for his use during his lifetime, were to be disposed of according to the equities affecting the same.

As for his real and personal estate, or trust property, he directed that it was to be converted to cash, his debts, funeral and testamentary expenses paid, and the residue divided into four equal parts or shares.

One share each was to be paid to Ellen, Ann, and Margaret. The forth share was to be invested and the income paid to his daughter Alice for her lifetime, then to her child or children upon reaching the age of 21 years, or if female, upon marrying under the age of 21 years. If Alice died without children, the money was to be divided between all of his grandchildren (including Elizabeth Norris, the child of his daughter Margaret), upon reaching the age of 21 years, or if female, marrying before that age.

Henry signed the Will with his mark, which was witnessed by William Banks and Richard Banks, Solicitors at Preston.

The Will was proved at Lancaster on 10 July 1882.

Effects: Gross: £4,516 14s 4d, Net: £4,493 19s 4d.

NOTES:
