THE FAMILY OF WILLIAM CHADWICK
William Chadwick was the son of Henry Chadwick and Sarah Allen, who were married at St John's Church in Liverpool on 10 June 1827.
William, their first child, was baptized on 25 June 1828 at St Peter and St Paul Church in Ormskirk. By the time of the 1851 Census the family had moved from Ormskirk to Croston: |

Henry Chadwick died in Croston on 9 December 1855 and was buried on 13 December 1885, aged 50 years. After Henry's death Sarah and her older sons carried on the family business and at the time of the 1861 Census Sarah and her younger sons were still living in Croston: |

Sarah Chadwick died in Croston on 3 July 1862 and was buried on 6 July 1862, aged 54 years. Henry and Sarah are buried in adjoining graves in the churchyard of St Michael & All Angels Parish Church in Croston. |
