Pray also for Richard Shepherd, beloved husband of the said
Henrietta Magdalena who died September 2nd, 1938, aged 79 years
Pray also for Elizabeth Shepherd, their daughter, who died
November 29th, 1959, aged 70 years R.I.P.
Pray also for Alice Walburga (Dolly) Shepherd, their daughter, who died
December 29th, 1983, aged 93 years."

"LANCS NUN DIES AT EIGHTY - A former Reverend Mother of St. Joseph's Convent, Preston, Sister Mary Bernadette Shepherd* has died.
Sister Bernadette, who was born in Preston, died at the age of 80 in St. Clare's Convent, Pantasaph, North Wales.
he was a member of the congregation of the Sisters of Charity of Our Lady Mother of Mercy for 56 years, and spent the greater part of her religious life as a Superior in various convents of the order.
She was at St. Joseph's in Mount Street for about 15 years." *Helena Josephine Shepherd

BURIAL RECORDS:

Thomas Shepherd, age 15 days, of 11 Schleswig St, was buried on 6 November 1883 in a public grave in the Roman Catholic section of Preston Cemetery. The burial cost 1 shilling 6 pence.
.
Henrietta Magdalena Shepherd was buried on 4 June 1923 in the churchyard of St. Mary's Roman Catholic church in Lea. Hers was the first burial in a family grave.
.
Richard Shepherd was buried on 5 September 1938 in the family grave at St. Mary's, Lea. His was the second interment.
.
Elizabeth and Alice Walburga Shepherd - both spinsters - were buried with their parents in the family grave at St. Mary's, Lea. The burial records appear to be missing and I have been unable to determine their burial dates.
.
I have not yet found the burial records for the other members of the family.
