2: John Alfred's name was difficult to decipher as it appears that the Enumerator began to write something else - perhaps James - then overwrote it with John. He also abbreviated the middle name.
3: The family surname was mis-transcribed as Scarisbrick on both the Familysearch and Ancestry websites but a close examination of the digital image reveals that the surname was spelled correctly as Swarbrick.
