THE FAMILY OF THOMAS & MARY BAMBER

THOMAS:
Thomas Bamber, farmer at Dinckley, Lancashire, wrote a Will appointing his wife Mary sole executrix and leaving his entire estate to her.

He signed his Will on 12 May 1890 and it was witnessed by James Pinnington of Stoneyhurst, clerk of Holy Orders; and James Bamber of Pale Farm, Little Bowland, Lancashire.

Thomas Bamber, formerly of Dinckley, Lancashire, farmer, but late of Ribchester, died on 16 July 1890 at Ribchester.

Will proved at Lancaster 20 December 1890 to Mary Bamber, widow, the relict and sole Executrix.

Personal estate: Gross: £784, 17s, 19d; Net: £763, 19s, 7d

 

MARY:
Mary Bamber, widow, of Ribchester, appointed her friends Thomas Rawcliffe of Bradburn House, Aighton, assistant overseer; and John Billington of Ribchester, farmer; as her executors.

She directed that all real and personal property be converted to cash and all debts, funeral and testamentary expenses be paid.

The residue was to be invested in stocks with the revenue therefrom paid to her son William Bamber for his lifetime. After William's death, the revenue was to be paid to her grandson William Wells, or if he died before reaching the age of 21 years, the money was to be divided between the brothers and sisters of her late husband.

The Will was signed by Mary Bamber on 30 December 1890, and witnessed by William Eastham of Clitheroe, Solicitor; and Albert Hall of Blackburn, Solicitor.

Mary Bamber, of Ribchester, Lancashire, widow, died 22 May 1893. Probate Lancaster 4 October 1893 to Thomas Rawcliffe, assistant overseer and John Billington, farmer. Effects: £611 16s 9d
