"IHS - Of your charity, pray for the soul of William, son of Richard and Isabella Dawson of Preston, who died May 31st 1872, aged 24 years. Also for Isabella Smith, wife of Michael Smith and mother of the above William Dawson, who died Novr 9th 1882, aged 67 years. Also the above named Michael Smith, who died Decr 3rd 1896, aged 77 years. Also for Mary, daughter of the above Richard and Isabella Dawson, who died Feby 12th 1909, aged 68 years. Also for Elizabeth Dawson, sister of the above, who died Novr 27th 1913, aged 68 years."

Burial No. 3749 William Edward Dawson, age 24 years, was buried in the churchyard of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Fernyhalgh, near Preston. Isabella Smith, age 67 years, was buried on 13 November 1882 by Father Thomas Swift in the churchyard of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Fernyhalgh, near Preston.
Michael Smith, age 77 years, was buried in the churchyard of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Fernyhalgh, near Preston. Mary Dawson, age 68 years, was buried in the churchyard of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Fernyhalgh, near Preston.
