The Family of Sarah Green

Sarah Green was the daughter of James & Jane Green, of Catterall, Lancashire. Various documents record her place of birth as Eccleston, which could be one of three places but is more than likely Great Eccleston, near Garstang, Lancashire. I have checked the available records for churches in the Great Eccleston area but have not yet found any record of Sarah's birth or original baptism - or the marriage of her parents. The only record I have found so far is that of Sarah's "Conditional Baptism", when she converted to the Catholic faith in 1841:

	"Sarah Swarbrick (Green), age 25, was baptized conditionally September 7th. - M. Hickey"

NOTES:
1:	Sarah's family may have been Non-Conformists.
2:	Sarah converted to Catholicism a little more than three months before the birth of her first child.
3:	The above information is taken from the baptism register for St Mary & St Michael's Chapel in Bonds, Garstang, held at the Lancashire Archives in Preston.
