2: F. S. almost certainly stood for Female Servant and it appears that Margaret was a live-in servant in an unnamed pub run by a lady called Ann Salthouse.
3: The S in the final column stood for Scotland.
4: Unusually, the Census Enumerator seems to have recorded the exact ages instead of rounding them.
