NOTES:
1: Samuel Blauser and Mary Karns were married before the start of civil registration in Pennsylvania and I have not yet found the church record of their marriage.
2: I have not yet found any record of Mary (Karns) Blauser's death but it must have occurred sometime between the birth of her 5th child in 1885 and the remarriage of her husband in about 1887.

NOTES:
1: I've not yet found the record of Samuel's marriage to Mary L Boyd but did find an index reference which gave the date and location.
2: The spelling of the family surname is a source of confusion as some records spell it "Blosser" and others spell it "Blauser". Both spellings are common but Blauser seems to have been the more common spelling in Pennsylvania and I'm fairly certain that it is the correct spelling in this case.
3: It is not known who Alvin Boyd's father was. He was born in New York and moved with his unmarried mother to Pennsylvania. He seems to have been unofficially adopted by Samuel Blauser and used the name Alvin Boyd Blauser throughout his life.
