NOTES:
Although the baptism entries for the first two children appear to show Joseph and Harriet as a married couple, then didn't actually marry until shortly before their third child was born.
The baptism entry for Rebecca Elizabeth Burgess spells her name Rebekah Elisabeth. Joseph Albert's mother apparently spelled her first name Rebekah.
Joseph Albert Burgess gave his address as Well Yard at the time of their marriage while Harriet gave her address as Peter's Court. The two addresses seem to have been linked and they may actually have been living together at the time of their marriage.
As a rule, early Church of England baptism registers did not record the child's date of birth, but many clergy entered the birth dates in as additional information.
Handwriting in old registers can be difficult to read and the signatures of clergy are often illegible.
Church of England baptism registers do not normally record the names of Godparents.
The above information is taken from scanned images at www.ancestry.co.uk.
