THE LIFE OF HELENA MORTON
| Helena Morton never married and very little is known about her life. At the time of the 1901 Census she was a 14 year old girl living with her parents and working as a Cotton Weaver. Any further record of her is difficult to find as the normal sources, i.e. marriage registers, baptisms of children, etc., don't apply. She seems to have lived her entire life in the Preston area and died at 32 Stocks Road in Ashton-on-Ribble, on the outskirts of Preston. |

| Helena Morton, aged 79 years, was buried on 23 December 1966 in her parents grave, Plot B-275, at Preston Cemetery. The grave had been purchased by her father James Morton on 2 March 1891 and Helena was the third and last burial in a grave 20 ft deep. |
