The Will of James Weights:

James Weights of 285 Plungington Road, Preston, Lancashire, Bookkeeper, died 14 May 1917. Probate Lancaster 26 May to Mary Weights, widow. Effects: £405 15s.

This is the Last Will and Testament of James Weights, of 285 Plungington Road, Preston in the county of Lancaster, Bookkeeper.

I direct the payment of all my just debts, funeral and testamentary expenses as soon as may be convenient after my decease and subject thereto I give devise and bequeath all my real and personal estate whatsoever and wheresoever unto and to the use of my dear wife Mary Weights absolutely and I hereby nominate and appoint my said wife to be the sole executrix of this my Will.

In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand this forth day of May one thousand nine hundred and six. (signed) James Weights

Signed by the said testator James Weights as and for his last Will and testament in the presence of us both being present at the same time who at his request in his presence and in the presence of each other have hereunto subscribed our names as witnesses (signed) Thomas ward, David Newsham, Solicitors, Preston.

On the 26th day of May 1917 Probate of this Will was granted at Lancaster to Mary Weights, widow, the sole executrix.

The Will of Mary Weights:

Mary Weights, of Symonds Terrace, 285 Plungington Road, Preston, Lancashire, died 27 March 1949. Probate London 23 April to Joseph Weights, master butcher, and Arthur weights, cutter grinder. Effects £1351 4s 9d.
