The Family of Henrietta Southworth

Henrietta Southworth was born c. 1867, the first child born to Henry Southworth and his second wife Isabella Smith. She was born in Mawdesley, near Croston but I have not been able to find any record of her baptism.

Henry and his first wife Sarah Martland were married at St Mary the Virgin Church in Eccleston on 28 April 1858 and had one daughter, Mary Ellen born in 1860. Sarah Southworth died in 1864 and Henry remarried in 1867, the same year that Henrietta was born.

At the time of the 1881 Census the family had settled in Mawdesley:
