FAMILY HISTORY: NORRIS

THE LIFE OF ELIZABETH ANN NORRIS:

At this time I know very little about Elizabeth Ann Norris other than what is contained in her baptism record and the various Census returns.

In 1901 she was a 24 year old spinster still living at her parent's farm, Mill House End, in Croston. She stood as a witness to the marriage of her bother John in 1894 and her brother Henry in 1897. She may have been Godmother to one or two of her nieces and nephews but the baptism registers do not record the names of Godparents.

Elizabeth apparently lived her entire life in Croston and was living at The Lodge in Croston when she died on the 9th of February 1931, aged 54 years.

...Elizabeth Ann, daughter,
died 9th February 1931, aged 54..."
[Partial monument inscription for her parent's grave in Croston]
