MONUMENT INSCRIPTIONS:

"...Also Sarah, the beloved wife of Richard
Cottam, departed this life May 27th 1873, aged 49 years.
'Afflictions sore, so long she bore, Physicians were in vain,
till God did (worn away) and free her from her pain'..."

"In loving Memory of
Richard Cottam
of Croston,
who died Oct. 12th 1886,
aged 60 years.
And of Elizabeth, wife of the above,
who died Dec. 8th 1922,
aged 77 years.
And of George, son of the above,
who died Feb. 24th 1878,
aged 4 months.
and of Thomas, son of the above,
who died Feb. 4th 1881,
aged 4 months.
And of Richard, son of the above,
who died Feb. 1st 1951,
aged 75 years.
Thy will be done."
