THE FAMILY OF ANN "NANNY" NORRIS

FILIATION ORDERS:

 

Henry Norris
On 12 July 1810 the Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor of Croston issued an Order of Filiation for the birth of Nanny Norris' first child, born on 18 March 1810. By their order John Cottam was ordered to pay
3 pounds sixteen shillings (approx. £120.00 today) and 2 shillings a week (approx. £3.25 today).

Thomas Norris
On 24 September 1812 the Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor of Croston issued an Order of Filiation for the birth of Nanny Norris' second child, born on 6 August 1812. By their order John Cottam was ordered to pay
3 pounds 8 shillings (approx. £115.00 today) and 2 shillings a week (approx. £3.25 today).

Hugh Norris
On 16 February 1815 the Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor of Croston issued an Order of Filiation for the birth of Nanny Norris' third child, born on 20 September 1814. By their order John Cottam was ordered to pay 4 pounds 10 shillings (approx. £160.00 today) and 2 shillings a week (approx. £3.50 today).

Robert Norris
On 16 September 1822 the Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor of Parbold issued an Order of Filiation for the birth of Nanny Norris' fourth child, born on 6 July 1822. By their order John Cottam was ordered to pay
3 pounds 17 shillings and 6 pence (approx. £150.00 today) and 1 shilling 6 pence a week (approx. £3.00 today).
