FAMILY HISTORY: SWARBRICK
THE FAMILY OF MARY SALTER
| Mary Salter was the daughter of Albert Salter and Mary Alice Hayes, who were married at Emmanuel Church in Preston on 19 August
1899. Albert, who was born in Preston in about 1874 was the son of James Salter and Mary Yates. Mary Alice, who was born in Preston in about 1877, was the daughter of William Hayes and Ann Edge. By the night of the 1901 Census Mary's parents were relative newlyweds and did not yet have children but Mary Alice would have been expecting their first child, William who was born shortly after the Census was taken: |
