NOTES:
1: Mary was George's first cousin, the daughter of his father's brother. A note in the church register reads, "Being own cousins, these parties were married by dispensation granted by the Right Rev Dr. Brown V.A."
2: At the time of their marriage George was aged 40 yrs, a widower, and working as a Merchant's Clerk.
3: Both George and Mary were living at 2 Church View, Bootle cum Linacre when they married.

NOTES:
1: At the time of their wedding George was described as a widower, of full age, Yeoman of the Queen's Bodyguard. Susannah was living at 1 Millicent Cottages, Forest Row in Dalston.
2: It's a bit of a mystery as to who the witness Mary Swarbrick was. It's thought that George had no children with either of his first two wives and I suspect that Mary may have been his younger sister.
3: Some of the above information was provided by my cousin John David Swarbrick, other information is taken from original church records. The marriage information for the second marriage is taken from a certified copy of the marriage certificate.
