| 1: | I've checked the records for several Toronto churches but have only been able to find the baptism records for the youngest two children, who were baptized on the same day. |
| 2: | In Annie Louise's baptism record, the names of her parents were entered as Charles and Sophia Buckner. Charles and Phoebe were the names of her aunt and uncle. To further complicate things, Charles William's baptism record lists his parents as Samuel and Sophia. |
| 3: | I have conflicting information as to Charles William's date of birth. His baptism record records his date of birth as 31 May 1879 while other records give his birthdate as 21 May 1879. |
| 4: | In May 1882 Samuel and Harriet were living on the east side of Munro Street in what is now the Riverdale section of Toronto. A John Hatt and a James Gore lived on the west side of Munro Street. |
