DEATH NOTICES:
"Buckner - On November 5, 1926, at his son's residence, 572 Coxwell Avenue, Samuel Buckner, in his 86th year. Funeral Monday, November 8th, 1926 at 3 PM. Interment St. John's Cemetery."

"Buckner - On Friday July 29th, 1932, Harriet Buckner, beloved wife of the late Samuel Buckner, in her 94th year. Funeral from the residence of her daughter, Mrs. T. Newberry, 438 Logan Avenue, Monday at 2 PM. Interment St. John's Cemetery."

BURIAL INFORMATION:
Samuel Buckner, of Coxwell Avenue, was buried on 9 November 1926, aged 86 years.

Harriet Buckner, of 204 Booth Avenue, was buried on 1 August 1932, aged 93 years,

They were buried in Section 1, Range 5, Plot 1a, in the churchyard at
St John the Baptist Anglican Church.

 

NOTES:
1: St John's Church is in an area of Toronto that was once a village called Norway, and is generally known as "St John's Norway". Opened in 1853 as a churchyard cemetery, it expanded to become a public cemetery and crematorium. The area is now considered part of the "Upper Beaches" area of Toronto.
