FAMILY HISTORY: BUCKNER
THE FAMILY OF SAMUEL WIDGERY & HARRIET REBECCA BUCKNER
CENSUS INFORMATION:
In 1851 Samuel Buckner was living with his mother and father and in 1861 he was living with his widowed mother. For those entries
see his parent's Census page. I have not been able to find him in the 1871 Census when he would have been a 29 year old bachelor. He married the following year. On 8 May 1873, Samuel moved his family to Canada. The Census in Canada uses various different formats and the tables below are simplified versions of the actual records. |

2: | For some reason, the children are listed as being Baptists - almost certainly an error. |
3: | Harriet's name was misspelled Harrate and Charles' name was spelled Charls. |
4: | Instead of Origin, the 1891 Census listed the birthplace of each person's mother and father - in each case here that was England. |
5: | This Census did not record whether children were attending school, instead recording whether a person could read and write. All members of the Buckner family were listed as being able to read and write. |
