Charles, Phoebe and their four children emigrated to Canada on 29 July 1869. The Census in Canada follows a different format and the information below is a simplified version of the actual record.

4:	This Census did not record whether children were attending school, instead recording whether a person could read and write. All members of the Buckner family were listed as being able to read and write.

2:	Charles & Phoebe's sons Alfred and Henry were listed at separate addresses on the same census page.
3:	Ada Buckner was listed as the wife of Charles Jr. She would have been heavily pregnant at this time.
4:	The Blakely children were the children of Charles & Phoebe Jane (Buckner) Blakely, who both died in 1896.
5:	The year of Immigration to Canada was listed as 1861 for Charles & Phoebe, but this is incorrect.
6:	While listed as of English origin, all were listed as of Canadian Nationality.
7:	This was the first Canadian census to record a persons colour. All of the people on this page were white.

I have been unable to find Charles and Phoebe in the 1911 census. Phoebe died in 1917 and by 1921 Charles was retired and living with his youngest son George and his young family:
