NOTES:
1: Emma Ann signed the marriage register with an X. All other signed their own names.
2: I had trouble tracing this family at first as it is amazing how many William & Emma Clarks there were living in the London area and the family just seem to have disappeared after the 1871 Census. It all made sense after I discovered Emma Ann's second marriage record

NOTES:
1: Benjamin and Susan West were Emma Ann's sister and brother-in-law.
2: Emma Ann and Susan West signed the marriage register with their marks.
3: Birdcage Walk in Bethnal Green is now called Columbia Road.
4: A William George AVERSON was baptized at St Paul's Dock Street, Tower Hamlets on 6 July 1851. This may actually be William George Everson.
5: William Clark-Everson is a bit of a puzzle. He was born too late to be the son of William Clark and about 3 years before Emma Ann's marriage to William Everson. I did find the baptism of a William Walter Henry Everson (see baptism page), who was recorded as the son of William and Emma Everson but, if it is the correct record, they were not yet married.
6: The above information is taken from a variety of sources, including scanned images of the marriage and baptism registers and the various census returns at www.ancestry.co.uk and www.findmypast.co.uk.
