NOTES:
1: The marriage register entry records Alfred's father's names as John William Buckner. This is the only record I have seen that includes a middle name for John Buckner and may be an error.
2: Alfred & Caroline signed the marriage register with their marks.
3: The handwriting in the marriage register is bad and I can't be sure of the Vicar and witnesses surnames.
4: The baptism register for Eliza Ann didn't record her date of birth and misspelled the surname "Buckler".
5: Thomas Buckner was later called Thomas William but was baptized plain Thomas.
6: The twins John & George Buckner's births and deaths were registered in the same quarter of 1879.

NOTES:
1: The marriage register entry records Virtue as a spinster and her father's surname as Matthews instead of Knight. This is an obvious error.
2: Alfred, Virtue and both witnesses signed the marriage register with their marks.
3: The handwriting in the marriage register is terrible and I can not be certain of the Vicar's surname, or Alfred & Virtue's addresses.
4: Alice Elizabeth and George were born after Alfred & Virtue moved to Plaistow, Essex and I have not yet found their baptism records. Their dates of birth are taken from the GRO death indexes.
5: Special thanks to my 4th cousin Caroline, great-granddaughter of Reuben Charles Buckner, for her help with this section.
6: Albert Buckner emigrated to Ontario, Canada in 1908 and I have not yet found any record of his death.
