John and Sarah Ann's daughters Harriet and Rachel were not at home on the night of the 1861 Census and I found the following two girls listed working a live-in servants about 3 miles away in the St Luke area of East London. The fact that they worked in different houses on the same street is curious. Although their ages are slightly off, this may actually be John and Sarah Ann's daughters: |

I have not been able to find Sarah Ann Knott in the 1881 Census, This may be due to a transcription error - or perhaps she was missed off the Census altogether. She was not listed with her daughter Mary Ann Stacey. |
