The Family of Thomas and Agnes Jordan: Burial Records

DEATH NOTICE:

"MRS. AGNES JORDAN - Mrs. Agnes M. (Boacock) Jordan, widow of the late Thomas Jordan, died this morning at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Joseph Campbell, 27 Kenyon avenue.
Born in England, she was a resident of Pawtucket for the past 13 years. She had formerly lived in Berkley.
She was a former member of the Daughters of Isabella.
She is survived, besides her daughter, by three sons, Thomas A. Frank T. (sic) and Richard E., all of Pawtucket; five grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be held Saturday morning at 8:15 from the Manning-Heffern Funeral Home, 68 Broadway. A requiem mass will be celebrated at 9 o'clock in St. Leo's Church. Burial will be in Mount St. Mary's Cemetery."

FUNERAL NOTICE:

"MRS. AGNES JORDAN - The funeral of Mrs. Agnes M. (Boacock) Jordan, who died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Joseph Campbell, 27 Kenyon avenue, last Thursday, was held today from the Manning-Heffern Funeral Home, 68 Broadway, t 8:15, followed by a solemn requiem mass in St. Leo's Church at 9. Rev George F. Gorman was celebrant; Rev. John W. Struck was deacon and the Rev Arthur J. Geddes of St. Edward's Church was sub-deacon.
Burial was in Mount St. Mary's Cemetery, where the committal service was read by Father Struck.
The bearers were Edward F. Griffin, Harold J. Jordan, Paul E. Robichaud and Edward J. Cooney."

NOTES:
1:	Thomas Jordan died before Agnes but I have no Death Notice or burial information for him.
2:	The age given for Agnes is slightly off. I don't know why they chose to be so precise with her age but since they did I will too. Agnes was 75 years, 6 months and 10 days old when she died.
3:	The above information is taken from the newspaper clippings and burial card and from information related to me by my late cousin Elsie (Swarbrick) Banks.
