NOTES:
1: I have been in contact with a lady who tells me that after the deaths of John and Janet their children went to live with other relatives. James, not quite two years old, was "adopted" by John's eldest sister and her husband, Robert and Margaret Baker.
2: John and Jane died within a week of each other. I have been told that they died in a flu epidemic that swept the area.
