THE FAMILY OF JAMES MAYOR
James Mayor was the son of William Mayor and Ruth Higham, who were married on 11 June 1836 at St Mary the Virgin Parish Church in Eccleston, near Chorley, Lancashire. They had at least six children with James being the eldest - baptized at the same church on 3 September 1837. The only other information I have at this time comes from the 1861 Census: |
