James Mayor
James Mayor of Eccleston, near Chorley, Lancashire, timber dealer, died 21 August 1897.
PROBATE Lancaster 9 September 1897 to Ann Mayor, widow, and John Henry Mayor, sawyer. Effects: £150

This is the last Will of me, James Mayor of Eccleston, Chorley, in the County of Lancaster.

I give and devise all my estate and effects real or personal of which I may die possessed or entitled to unto my wife during widowhood and on her death or remarriage I leave the business at the Saw Mill, the buildings of the Saw Mill with all machinery, timber, and stock equally between my two sons John Henry Mayor and James Mayor. The rest of my property to my three sons (on the death or remarriage of my wife) John Henry Mayor, William Mayor and James Mayor in such proportions as my wife may appoint. It is my wish that my wife should carry on the business as during my life.

I appoint my wife and my son John Henry Mayor Executors of this my Will.

Ann Mayor
Ann Mayor, of Southport-road, Eccleston, Chorley, Lancashire, widow, died 27 January 1919.
PROBATE Lancaster 13 March 1919 to John Henry Mayor, timber dealer, and William Mayor, poultry farmer. Effects: £733 3s 6d
