1: I can find no record of Ellen's burial and suspect that she is buried with members of the Miller family.
2: The date of Ellen's death is taken from her Administration document, which states only that she died in November 1776.

NOTE:
1: At the time of their marriage Robert Caunce Norris, a widower, age 52, was a miller.
2: Robert's mother Anne Norris appears to have died unmarried when Robert was a young boy. He may have been raised by her brother Hugh Norris, who appointed Robert as one of the Executors of his Will dated 24 April 1776. Robert was also made the sole Executor of Hugh's sister Mary's estate.
3: I have not been able to find any record of Jane's first marriage and therefore do not know what her maiden name was. After Robert's death, she married his cousin John Norris on 5 January 1814.
4: The above information is taken from Baptism, Marriage and Burial records held at the Lancashire Record Office in Preston, and from the monument inscriptions at Croston Parish Church.
