| Elizabeth Bamford was born on 24 January 1869 and baptized at St John's Parish Church, Preston on 28 March 1869. About 2 weeks before marrying Henry Swarbrick, Elizabeth converted to Roman Catholic and was baptized at St Wilfrid's Catholic Church, Preston on 6 May 1891. The 1869 record does not state her date of birth but the 1891 baptism records her date of birth and that she was the daughter of James Bamford and Ann Brewer.
