FAMILY HISTORY: SWARBRICK

THE LIFE OF ELIZABETH JANE SWARBRICK

CENSUS INFORMATION:

In 1871, 1881 and 1891 Elizabeth Jane was living with her parents in Preston. For those Census details see her parent's Census page.

On the night of the 1901 Census Elizabeth Jane was staying as a visitor at the home of her sister Margaret Farrell. For the full entry, see Margaret's census page.

1901 CENSUS OF SOUTHAMPTON, HAMPSHIRE:
NAME: RELATION: CONDITION: SEX: AGE: OCCUPATION: BIRTHPLACE:
Elizabeth Swarbrick Visitor Unmarried F 32 Living on own means Preston, Lancashire
NOTES:
1: Visiting at 71 Alma Road, Southampton, Hampshire. (RG13-1068, folio 116, page 45)
2: The above information is from the census returns on-line at www.ancestry.co.uk.

Although listed as a Visitor at Margaret's home in 1901, I suspect that this eventually became a more permanent arrangement. When Margaret moved to Old Swan, Liverpool Elizabeth Jane apparently followed, as she was living at Margaret's Liverpool home when she died in 1925.
I have searched the 1911 Census but cannot find Elizabeth Jane or any member of the Farrell family in 1911.
