THE FAMILY OF WILLIAM & MARGARET ALICE SWARBRICK

CENSUS INFORMATION:

 

In 1871 William Swarbrick was still living at home with his parents but both parents died before 1881. By the date of the 1881 Census William was living as a boarder in Nether Wyresdale:

Sometime after 1881 William moved to the village of Anderton, where he met Margaret Alice Smith. They were married in 1890 and set up home in the village:

2: William and Margaret had been married less than a year when the census was taken.
3: William's full occupation was "Machine Driller, Locomotive Works".

William Swarbrick Sr died at Anderton in 1900. The following year, his widow and children were still living in the village of Anderton:
