| MONUMENT INSCRIPTIONS: "Of you charity, pray for the soul of Mary, wife of William Hayes, of Preston. Born June 1, 1832, Died Nov. 1, 1879. Also for the above William Hayes. Born Oct. 5, 1831, Died Dec. 7, 1895." (William and Mary Hayes are buried with Mary's sister Elizabeth Hull and her husband James Hull at Preston Cemetery. The above monument inscription is on one side of a four sided spire.) |

| "On the 1st inst., Mary, the beloved wife of Mr. William Hayes, Bank-Parade, Preston, aged 47 years. Friends will please accept this intimation." |

| William Hayes, age 64 years, was buried on 11 December 1895 in the Hull family vault in the Roman Catholic section, C-399, at Preston Cemetery. His address was 12 Bank Parade, Preston. |
