| 1: | James Norris was born to Margaret before she married. It is not known who his father was. |
| 2: | John Norris was born about a year before his parents married and George Swarbrick was ordered to pay support for him. |
| 3: | While checking some information for someone else I stumbled upon the baptism entry for Ellen in the original register for SS Peter & Paul in Mawdesley. The entry gives her date of birth as the 29th of January and gives her mother's maiden name, Norris. It also records their abode as Croston. It is possible that Mary Swarbrick was also born in Croston but I have been unable to find any record of her baptism as of yet. |
