THE LIFE OF GEORGE SWARBRICK

As part of the winding up of his estate, the Administrator - through his solicitors - had to give public notice to any and all persons who may have had outstanding business with George at the time of his death: |

|
"WINSTANLEY and CHARNLEY Solicitors to the Administrator." |
After his sudden death, two of George's employees decided to try to carry on with the business, and hoped that their late employer's customers would continue doing business with them: |
"WHITE AND HAYES, successors to the late George Swarbrick PLASTERERS, COLOURERS, DEALERS IN CEMENT, &c., CHAPEL YARD, FRIARGATE, PRESTON." |
"W. and H., for many years foreman and bookkeeper for the late G.S., beg to inform their friends and the public generally that they have succeeded to the business of their late employer, and hope, by prompt attention to all orders committed to their charge, to receive the support which has been so liberally bestowed upon him for a great number of years." |
