NOTES:
 M. Hickey was the Reverend Michael Hickey, Parish Priest at Bonds from 27 November 1825 until his death from a stroke on 12 August 1871, aged 70 years. In part, his obituary said, "No clergyman, whatever creed he had professed, could have earned a more genuine respect, or gathered round him more completely the good will and reverence of all classes with whom he came in contact, than Father Hickey".
John and Jane's Godparents' surname should almost certainly be spelt 'Ibison'.
The last three children were born after the family moved from Bonds to Myerscough. James and Robert may have been baptized at St Thomas the Apostle Catholic Chapel in Claughton-on-Brock. Unfortunately these records are still held at the church and I have not yet been able to gain access to them.
The birthdate of James and Robert is taken from James' headstone at St Mary's Newhouse Church.
The above information is from the original baptism registers of St Mary & St Michael's Catholic Chapel in Bonds, near Garstang, and St Mary's Newhouse Church in Barton - both held at the Lancashire Archives.
