1: Peter's marriage licence application doesn't give the exact date of his second marriage or any details as to where the marriage took place. The date shown above is the date that the licence was granted. Both Peter and Margaret signed the application with their mark.
2: I have not been able to find the date of Peter Carroll's death but it had to have been sometime between July 1892, when he married his 2nd wife Margaret, and the date of the 1900 census, when Margaret was shown as a widow. He would have been in his late 60's to mid 70s.
3: Margaret Barker-Conneff (or Conniff) and her parents were born in England and emigrated to the USA some time before the birth of her sister Elizabeth, who was born in Pennsylvania c. 1840. The family were living in Brady's Bend as early as 1850.
