NEWSPAPER REPORT:

'ASSAULT - Richard Boocock was summoned for assaulting Isaac Blackburn. On last Saturday but one the complainant was reading at his door, at Park-place, when he was annoyed by Mr. Boocock's children, who lived next door, making a noise. Complainant went to complain of the noise, but he could not get for the children who blocked the way. [sic] The defendant came out, got hold of Blackburn and while shaking him his head came into contact with the wall, causing an abrasion of the skin. Defendant was ordered to pay 3s 6d and costs.'
