NOTES:
1: William Morley had at least two children with his first wife Mary Ann. John Ascroft Morley was baptized on 11 August 1889 and William Henry Morley was baptized on 1 January 1892 - both at St Mary's Church in Penwortham.
2: William's first wife was called Mary Ann Ascroft (possibly a relative of his second wife Catherine) died on 24 December 1891, aged 22 years. She may have died in childbirth with their son William who was born in late December 1891.
3: Catherine Morley died 8 days after the birth of their second child and her death was probably due to complications during or immediately after the birth.
