| 1: | As you can see in the individual notes, Ellen's surname was recorded variously as Hayhurst, Hurst and Hearst. A couple of the Godmothers had similar surnames and may have been relatives of Ellen's. |
| 2: | On the same day that Robert and Ellen married a Gregory Walmsley married an Ann Hayhurst and the same two men were the witnesses. It is probable that Ann Hayhurst was Ellen's sister and that Gregory Walmsley is the same man named above as the Godfather of Elizabeth Seed (2). |
| 3: | I have not yet found the baptism records for William and Robert Seed. Robert Jr's birthdate is taken from a certified copy of his birth certificate. |
