DEATH NOTICE:

"On the 19th inst., John Townsend Swarbrick, aged 30, R.I.P."

BURIAL RECORD:

John Townsend Swarbrick, age 30, of 4 Black Horse Yard, Preston, was buried on 20 February 1897 in grave C-436 in the Catholic section of Preston Cemetery. The 4th interment, he was buried 12 ft deep.

 

NOTES:
1: The grave was purchased by John Swarbrick on 12 February 1880 for his infant daughter Eleanor. It contains eight people but only six are listed on the headstone. The full burial listing and Monument Inscription can be seen on his family's burial page.
2: The above information is taken from the headstone at Preston Cemetery, microfilmed copies of the Preston Guardian and Lancashire Daily Post newspapers held at the Harris Library, and from microfilmed copies of the original burial registers held at the Lancashire Archives in Preston.
